Support the Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway

Repair and maintenance of the Oklawaha Greenway rests with the City of Hendersonville and Henderson County governments. The Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway have volunteered their time and resources to help maintain the entire length of the Oklawaha Greenway through the City of Hendersonville’s Adopt-A-Park/Trail program. Participating organizations and their respective sections are as follows:

  • Conserving Carolina (formerly Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy) – Between Berkeley Mills Park (Balfour Road) and North Main Street
  • Rotary Club of Hendersonville – Between North Main Street and 7th Avenue
  • Blue Ridge Bicycle Club – Between 7th Avenue and Jackson Park (4th Avenue)
  • MountainTrue - Spur from Mud Creek through Patton Park

As volunteer opportunities arise, we would love to have your help! Sign up here to join our growing list of volunteers, or contact our Volunteer Coordinator to learn more about opportunities on the greenway.

If you’re a fairly regular user of the Oklawaha Greenway and enjoy writing, you’re invited to consider becoming a Greenway Scout. See our blog page for a link to apply.
